Stuntwoman Killed In Los Angeles Motorcycle Accident

April Stirton is no stranger to action, having worked as a stunt double on popular television shows like True Blood and CSI. Unfortunately, the 28-year old stuntwoman recently lost her life in a tragic motorcycle accident in Los Angeles.

According to the California Highway Patrol, Stirton lost control and fell off her bike while driving at 55 mph when she attempted to pass a tow truck in front of her.

She was run over by the back wheels of the tow truck and she died at the scene of the accident. Her bike also careened off two lanes and struck another truck. Fortunately, no one was injured in the collision.

With more and more people opting to ride motorcycles because it’s cheaper, more cost-efficient and faster, motorcycle accidents and fatalities statistic increase in proportion to the number of users.

As much as 80 percent of all reported motorcycle accidents result to injury or death, so if you’re a motorcycle rider, it would be best ride with caution and observe proper road rules and regulations.
