Double DUI: Jessie’s Girl’s Singer and a Desperate Housewives’ Husband

Here are two more celebrities getting busted for DUI and good news, looks like the guys are going just as wild as the girls. From a rocker to an actor, here are the latest additions to Hollywoodcrashes’ DUI Hall of Infamy.

Rick Springfield, the man behind the classic hit “Jessie’s Girl” was arrested in Malibu on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. He was allegedly pulled over after he made a maneuver away from the traffic light but when the deputies smelled alcohol on his breath, he was asked to take a Breathalyzer test. Springfield blew a .10 percent and was subsequently taken into custody and released on a $5,000 bond.

In Los Angeles, a Desperate Housewives actor was arrested for DUI and is currently being held on a $25,000 bail. Allegedly, 39-year old Ricardo Chavira got pulled over for a routine stop but when cops detected alcohol on his person. He failed the field sobriety tests but refused to take a blood or breath test.

Whether in Malibu or Los Angeles, under the law in California, a person is prohibited from operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs or alcohol. A person is considered legally drunk if he has a blood alcohol content (BAC) of .08 percent.

Drivers who refuse these blood or breath tests are subject to longer license suspensions and revocations.
