Football Star Avoids Jail Time after DUI Arrest

People have recently celebrated the 4th of July holiday, meaning many of them went to the beach, drank, or spent time with their loved ones. During holidays, it is common for police to set-up checkpoints in the hope of preventing road accidents caused by drunk driving.

California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers arrested over 100 people due to DUI violations during the weekend. One of the people arrested during this period is Lorenzo Neal, a football player.

Aside from getting arrested, he was also involved in a minor accident in Fresno. According to reports, the accident occurred while the football star is trying to make a right turn towards Minnewawa in Fresno.

Police said the vehicle hit a pole after veering off the road. Good thing he does not have any passengers and no other vehicle was involved in the incident.

In addition, he was able to avoid spending time in prison. Authorities released Neal to his friend because he was not highly intoxicated and the accident is only minor.
