Underwood Sings for Deceased Truck Driver

Carrie Underwood may have the reputation of being as sweet as sugar but apparently, this multi-awarded country singer can also be quite emotional.

During her performance at the MGM Grand Theater in Connecticut, a song she performed, “Temporary Home” got the American Idol blond all choked up.

The emotional performance was allegedly dedicated to Robert Allen O’Bleness, a Kansas truck driver who died just last March 20 while carrying equipment for the singer’s show.

According to the police, the driver died in a fiery crash when he lost control of the tractor-trailer he was driving and slid down an embankment on Interstate 95 in Stonington.

Hmm…carrying concert equipment is turning out to be a dangerous occupation, just read about Miley Cyrus and Britney Spears’ tour bus crash. (re: Weezer, Britney Spears, Miley Cyrus)
