The 20-year-old Bad News Bears actress, Sammi Kane Kraft, was reportedly killed in a high-speed car crash.

According to news reports, the young baseball player-turned-actress died after the over-speeding Audi that she was riding in rear-ended a big rig and was subsequently hit by another car.

Kraft was reportedly rushed to the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center where she was pronounced dead. Meanwhile the Audi’s driver, Molly Kate, 21, survived with moderate injuries.

However, reports claimed that the latter was subsequently arrested on suspicion of felony drunk driving, while the driver of the big rig and the other car fled the scene without major injuries.

It can be remembered that Kraft was a skilled baseball player during her lifetime. In fact, her baseball skills earned her a role in the movie remake of the ‘Bad News Bears.’

Although the said movie was the only film that Kraft ever made, it nevertheless gained significant success for her.

The movie was a remake of the original 1976 flick Bad News Bears.

Kraft played the tomboy character in the movie’s remake, a role that was originally portrayed by legendary actress Tatum O’Neil.

At present, the California Highway Patrol is investigating the crash and so far, no further details are yet revealed.

Meanwhile, it is just so saddening that a tragic accident like that ended the life of a multi-skilled woman at a very young age. Hopefully, it would serve as a lesson to drivers who disregard traffic laws such as the statutes for maximum speed limit and legal blood-alcohol content limit, a Los Angeles auto accident attorney said.
